 Nancy Thomas and Claire Murray - In The News! Nancy Thomas is proud to announce a fantastic collaboration with hooked rug extraordinaire, Claire Murray of Nantucket. Claire and Nancy took similar paths to success; it is only fitting that they would eventually collaborate on a project of this magnitude. Kindred Spirits will feature Claire's incredible hand-hooked rugs with Nancy's colorful and whimsical art as the design. Thomas' famous paintings such as Fat Rabbit, Angel on Lamb, Men of Vision, Yorktown and Celebrate Santa will be just a few of the images available. See the line here! Just added!  Congratulations! Nancy Thomas Gallery wins "Best Visual Display" for our booth design at the 2009 Atlanta Gift Mart! Seen holding the award is Lisa Mask; Nancy and Lisa worked long hours designing the layout of the booth and it really paid off. Thanks to everyone involved with building and transporting the booth as well. |

Michael Banks grew up in a housing project in north Alabama, and after struggling with his mother’s death. Michael developed his signature style of painting, with powerful, significant images and extraordinary use of color. He uses what might be called the Michael Banks technique, covering plywood with roofing tar and bright enamels and acrylics, and then uses tools to incise the outlines of the image.
